CAcafe Coconut Coffee Reviewed

Pros

  • Even those who enjoy their coffee black rave that this tastes and smells great.
  • Tastes much better than other instant coffee brands.
  • Some have noticed increased energy. Where they usually needed two cups of coffee to keep them going all day, one cup is enough.
  • Great for those with more sensitive stomachs.
  • Easy to make – only have to put coffee in a mug, add water (hot or cold) and a small amount of milk.
  • Can be enjoyed hot or cold.
  • Versatile - their marketing suggests that it could also be used to make ice cream, sauce, creamer, cookies, or cake. Now, we’re not baking experts but we assume you can substitute this coffee mix anywhere where recipes call for regular mix.

Cons

  • The sweetened version can come off as too sweet to some which can spoil the natural coconut flavor. If you have a sweet tooth, you’re good. Otherwise, take a look at their unsweetened version.
  • More of a luxury item than an everyday brew. This is because each cup calls for 3 tablespoons of mix which will quickly eat up your supply.
  • They changed the formula in late 2010’s, removing corn starch and substituting in Tricalcium Phosphate which for some has affected the creaminess and taste of the coconut.
  • Supplier has been known to run out of stock. If you see it available, make sure you grab it!

ConClusion

The taste, creaminess, and health benefits make this a worthwhile purchase. Despite the change of formula over the past years, people still really enjoy it and praise its quality over other instant coffee offerings. That being said, given the price and amount needed for each cup, we conclude that for most people this will be a great as a treat to supplement a weight loss program rather than as an everyday snack.

FAQ

Here is a list of the frequently asked questions we get about how CAcafe Coconut Coffee is made, what benefits you can expect from it and where to buy it.

CAcafe Coconut Coffee Benefits

I remember an old work colleague of mine raving about how putting a scoop of coconut oil into his coffee made it delicious and much healthier than the usual cream and sugar. At the time, I thought it was a disgusting concept.

What makes coconut so healthy, and why you’ve been hearing more and more about it are the good fats found in it. Yes, that’s right, there is such as thing as good fats. Found in coconut are MCTs or Medium-Chain Triglycerides which are shorter fatty acid chains and have been linked to such benefits as:

  • weight loss
  • boost in energy
  • improved mental alertness
  • Improved digestion
  • Reduce risk of high blood pressure.

Of course, drinking just this alone won’t make dramatic changes but can have a positive effect when included as part of a well-rounded diet.

Disclaimer time: We are not Doctors on this website and everyone should do their own research. These benefits are what CAcafe has tried to supplement into an easy and convenient on-the-go instant coffee mixture.

They claim that they only include all-natural ingredients, with real coconut and no artificial coloring, flavor or preservatives.

A more complete list of their ingredients includes: Sugar, Coconut, Milk, Colombian Coffee, Food Starch-Modified (Cassava Root Origin), Sodium Caseinate, and Tricalcium Phosphate.

Can I drink CAcafe Coconut Coffee if I’m a vegan or allergic to dairy?

No.

Where to buy CAcafe Coconut Coffee?

Depending on your location, you might be able to find it in some brick-and-mortar stores like Costco, Sam’s club, Walmart or Safeway. Most people decide to stick with convivence and selection by going to Amazon.

Does Coconut Coffee Help Lose Weight?

Coconut oil has been linked to weight loss (**as part of a well-rounded weight-loss strategy), among other benefits, and can be used as part of a balanced diet.

Does Coconut Coffee Have Caffeine?

Colombian coffee beans are used in the mix. The exact amount of coffee is not known but usually in a pure ground coffee that would mean 50-65 mg per Tablespoon. Instructions call for three Tablespoons so we could estimate the caffeine content to be around 1 Tablespoon’s worth or perhaps slightly higher. CAcafe isn’t currently using the higher caffeine Robusta beans.
